Mill Location

The Stockdale Mill Foundation was formed in December 2001 as a Non-Profit Indiana Corporation to preserve and restore the mill. On April 19, 2002, the Foundation was also approved by the Federal Internal Revenue Service as a 501 c(3) organization, enabling donors to deduct contributions. The Mill Foundation consists entirely of volunteers.

Our Stockdale Mill directors, restoration & maintenance & landscaping worker, tour guides, schedulers, website creators, publicity promoters, landscapers, and all else are VOLUNTEERS who generously donate their time. We have no paid staff. We have no central office. Additionally, local businessmen & contractors help out from time to time by donating their services.

 

Volunteers are actively working on the building, dam & race, milling equipment, and property.
Also volunteers conduct tours, relate history, do historical research, and develop promotional materials
.

Volunteer work days for restoration are most [ Tuesdays ] from April through October.
