Location
The Stockdale Mill is located adjacent to Indiana State Road 16 where the highway crosses the Eel River at the Wabash County / Miami County line.
From EAST: From State Road 15, take S.R. 16 west for 3 miles (1 mile west of the town of Roann).
From WEST: From US 31, take take S.R. 16 east for 12 miles. This scenic route passes through the town of Denver, turns north at Chili, and east again to the mill.

The Stockdale Mill is easily viewed from the
Indiana S.R.16 bridge, and from the County Line Road, and from the DNR Eel River
Access Site.
In a scenic setting in the farmland of north-central Indiana, Stockdale Mill is 40 miles from Kokomo, 50 miles from Fort Wayne, and 60 miles from South Bend.
S.R.16 is an excellent bicycle route. Eel river is popular for canoeing. A DNR access site on S.R.16 has a boat ramp above the dam.
